“come on, alli,” jem mumbled to the little baby in her arms. the child had been crying all afternoon and jem didn’t know what was wrong with her. she tried feeding her, changing her, everything in the book, really. and she wouldn’t stop crying. it was never racking and she need a break. both of them need a break honestly. the walker made her way into juzo’s room. it seem like alli always calmed down when he was around so she used him as support, in times like this. she felt as juzo had become even more important. but she knocked on his room, softly. “juzo?”
